There are several established diving centres on Malta including the Cresta Dive School in St Julian's, the Subway Dive Centre in Bugibba and Paradise Diving School in Cirkewwa. Most offer half-day beginners courses up to 3-day courses for the more experienced scuba diver.
Many of the major beachside hotels offer water-skiing as an activity during the summer months, while windsurfers usually head to the Adira centre in Mellieha Bay, St Thomas's Bay and St Paul's Bay.

Unlike many Mediterranean countries, golf isn't hugely popular on Malta but an 18-hole course has now been built at the Marsa Sports Club, which also stages horse and trotting races on occasional Sundays.
